Hi friends and former colleagues. Time for some new inspirations..... I have always been taking photos of trees in Spring, Summer and Autumn, but could never get a good composition out of the photos I made. We were then visiting Beelitz which is near Potsdam in Germany and these trees were standing alone against the river. It was a nice bright day and they did not have their spring leaves and I suddenly had this idea of using the trees and mirror imaging them to create a type of surreal image - I used part of the trees and mirrored them in Photoshop, then transferred them from colour into B&W and was quite pleased with the result and the way the trees got a new perspective. In certain cases they resembled a veins in a persons body. The photos were available also in colour but I prefer the B&W versions as the trees stand out better with their naked leafless branches. Hope y'all like these new exposures. Enjoy the Spring time and take care and stay safe. I'll be off to the Netherlands and then the Dolomites very soon and curious of what I can captured on my camera during these 2 trips. Stay tuned and if you like my photogrpahy you also take a look at my projects here on Behance --> https://lnkd.in/enTd965c

If you can't find it, make it yourself! 💪✨A while ago, I shared our blog post about diverse stock photo resources (https://lnkd.in/eP8Wv2Tn), but we didn't stop there. 📸When it comes to images, our biggest frustration as a team, and especially for me as a designer, was finding photos that represent intangible concepts like User-Generated Content, Social Media Strategy, or even Hashtag Campaigns 😩That frustration led to one of our most creative projects 🚀, and it's the one I am most proud of, as it allows me to combine my skills as a designer and photographer 🎨+ 📸= 🌟.The project is a collection of photos tailored specifically for marketers and marketing designers, and guess what? 🎯📢 We're sharing them for free on platforms like Unsplash and Pexels! 🆓🌈We conduct our photo shoots at our office or at home, using our own equipment and lots of creativity, aiming to capture the essence of our work while thinking about how our pictures can rock your marketing world! 🌍💥So far, we've uploaded more than 450 images, with over 5 million views and 30k downloads! 🤯 You can check them out here: Unsplash (https://lnkd.in/eZVQVhte) and Pexels (https://lnkd.in/eBZKTdHs) profiles.Feeling curious? 🤔 I can share tips and advice on what to consider when preparing for a photo shoot at the office with people who are not used to posing for photos, and the most important factors to keep in mind. Let me know in the comments! 💬👇Keep it funky and creative! 🕺🎉#StockPhotos#DiversityAndInclusion#InclusiveCulture #creativeProjects

Tip: Rethink your project gallery or portfolio on your website. If you have to TELL ME that the photos on your website are truly yours, not stock photos, you've missed the point and missed an opportunity.First - if I don't know this unless you tell me in person, it means that everybody who does NOT talk to you directly doesn't know it. Such as your website visitors.Second - I don't know what I'm looking at. Yeah, the kitchen looks nice. It's supposed to. What does that prove?Third - I have no idea what expertise or time or tools it took for you to get the results shown in that photo. I might be really impressed if you explained that to me. It might set you apart from your competitors.A photo alone doesn't do much for you.And by the way - going into more detail, using something like simple one page case studies, helps you get found in Google. IF the case study is crafted strategically and promoted too. That's what I do for you. Let's talk.#localbusiness #projectgallery #portfolio #photogallery

Sometimes my eyes feel like they are falling out of my head.😵💫Why you ask?Well, when working on a new site where the visual style is of utmost importance, like I'm doing right now (it's in the furniture/real estate niche), I need to sort through hundreds and thousands of pictures.I do this with focus and attention.I do my best so hard it even hurts my head. Not that I'm a massoschist, but I notice me focussing.Finding that one image that says more than a thousand words is my mission today.Remember, for SEO, imagery helps you paint the picture. To both search engines and users. Let's make the internet better, one website at a time.#website #screentime #images #pictures #photos #realestate #immo #furniture

I needed a new website for Eyedolise and Elton Cilliers - The Tech Handyman did the biz 😁When Elton built me a website for my new little sideline he promised it would be on page one of google and it is. His process from start to finish is very locked in, you know exactly where he is with the build. From the off he drills down to what you want from your website and more importantly what do you want to be found for. That's when you choose the keywords in the location that works for you.He checks to see if he can get you ranking on page one of Google and if he can with the SEO then he guarantees it.This meaning the last 1/3 of your invoice is not due until you are on page 1This is exactly what happened with me. Within weeks of it being launched my ranking creeped up until it was on page one.If you don't believe me type in Iris Photographer Suffolk 👁️He doesn't then cut and run but gives you all the info you need to maintain that position, as in the types of posts, blogs, etc I'm very pleased with what Elton has done with me and would recommend him to others 😁Just not any other Iris Photographers 🤣Also, I must give a shout-out to Trudie Avery for designing such a EYE-catching logo 👁 😁Here's the website www.eyedolise.com#websitedesigner#seoexpert #websitedeveloper

Hey, LinkedIn network and friends! 🙌Ever wondered how great photos and videos can really make your house or building stand out when you're trying to sell or rent it? Good pictures, videos and virtual tours catch people's eyes and can help you close deals faster. Here's a simple plan to make your property look amazing in just one week:Day 1: Look at your current photos. What do you like, and what could be better?Day 2: Find the best parts of your property. Maybe it's a big, sunny window or a cosy reading nook. Make sure these will shine in new photos.Day 3: Work with professional photographers and experts who can help create stunning, high-quality images and 3D visuals. Think of them as artists who can draw or paint your property in the best light.Day 4: Use computer programs like Adobe's Creative Suite, Photoshop and Premier Pro, for example, to touch up your photos and videos, making them look even sharper and more appealing.Day 5: Create fun and interactive videos or virtual tours. This means you can make a video where it feels like you are walking through the property, almost as if you're there in person. This helps people visualize themselves living or working there, making your property more appealing.Day 6: Show these new pictures and videos to friends or potential buyers to get their thoughts. What do they like? What can be improved?Day 7: Launch your new, eye-catching photos and videos online with a story that does more than just tell—it sells your property. This strategic approach helps engage more viewers and sparks greater interest.Whether you're aiming to sell faster, rent better, or just want to showcase your property, the right visuals can truly make a huge difference.-------Are you ready to make your property look its best? 🚀 Let's chat and see how we can use these steps for your place!-----------------------------------------------------------------#archviz #propertysales #propertymarketing #architects #tipsforarchitects #buckleythomik #propertyphotography #propertyvideos #propertytours #virtualtours

Get a complete review of your photography website. You already have a decent website, but want an expert's opinion on how it can be improved further? Let's just do a review, I'll tell you everything you can do to polish your site to perfection.A website review is for you if...- You're not sure if you're ready for a website makeover or a full site redesign, and just want an expert's opinion on what can be improved on your site.- Your existing website is not performing well for you (you're not getting leads and not ranking well on Google), and you want to understand why.- You know your existing website is good, but you're unsure what to do to polish it around the edges.- Your Google Analytics reports show a high bounce rate (people coming to your site and then leaving quickly without taking action).

Most of the time, I take photos on behalf of my clients. But sometimes, they have a backlog of usable project photos. Unfortunately, they are usually cell phone images that need quite a bit of adjusting. Good thing I enjoy color-correcting photos. This photo of an impressive landscape project will be featured on an upcoming website launch. In the original photo, the colors are very dull and faded. But that was the camera's fault. The landscape design was actually rich and vibrant. When I correct the colors, my goal is not to create a fictional version of reality. My goal is to make the photo look more like it did in real life, with real human eyeballs. That way, the images (and the website design) get the attention they deserve.

Going to expand on something from yesterday.Images for your blog and website.Don't use stock images.Okay, sometimes that's the only option, esp. for a quick blog post. And some industries don't lend themselves to images. But as much as possible, use photos you have taken yourself, hired a professional to take, or asked a talented amateur to take. Find out if anyone on your team is good at photography. If you do home improvement, take before and after pictures of every project (obviously ask the homeowner's permission to use interior photos). If you're an author, take photos of your books, of you holding your books, of books you're reading. You get the picture. Use as many of your own photos *that nobody else has* as you can.And if you have a pet...cuteness sells even more than s e x does. I did a bit of website content for a HVAC client a few weeks ago and they posed their terrier in a cooler. It's the only part of their site I remember!(However, don't use your kids this way, it's just creepy).#FreelancingLife #TipsForClients
